Richard Deulofeut MD MPH FAAP
Dr. Deulofeut is the founder and primary clinical director of NeoBeginnings. In this role, Dr. Deulofeut ensures the groups' doctors and nurses provide the best possible care with the technology at their disposal.
Dr. Deulofeut is a double board-certified physician, with certifications in both general pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. Dr. Deulofeut attended medical school at the Universidad del Norte in Colombia before moving to the United States in 1991 for a postdoctoral internship at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. He later trained in general pediatrics at the University of Miami and then moved to Atlanta for a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Emory University.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Deulofeut received formal training in Continuous Quality Improvement and Healthcare Management at Harvard University.
In his free time, Dr. Deulofeut enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, as well as hunting, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, and learning about different cultures through their food.
